Not the Whispers but a Whisper
I was disappointed by the absence of Scotty from the Whispers. I think the concert should have been postponed until his return. These acts are on borrowed time as it is do you really think we the consumers want to see half no, 1/3 of the group. Walter did the best he could but we were left a bit short. The Stylistics could have really been the headliners and they performed so well you almost forgot that Russell Thompkins is no longer a member of that particular Stylistic group. Bloodstone and Heatwave performed wonderfully. I think all should receive a rebate or a discount on the next ticket purchase because we did not get a full show from the Whispers.
Excellent
I Love to show respect to artist who created “ the soundtrack of my life”. Every song takes me to a time and a place. Some memories are good and some not so good, but they are all treasured. My discography goes back to the 50’s. Some groups especially the Whispers are in the foundation. They started with five member, then four and now three. They have been working for over 6 decades. The last two times I saw them there were only two. I pray that they will all be well and back at it again. And Bloodstone, I don’t know where to start. I saw them at Kim Graves nightclub in Philadelphia shortly after “Natural High” was released. “FANTASTIC”. My hometown group, The Stylistics were very good even though they were disassembled and now there are two (2) groups. And the youngest of them all, Heatwave has definitely made their mark in R&B music. Thank you for “listening “…..Chubby ❤️
